Swiss sustainable textile manufacturer, Ventile, has collaborated with Mover Sportswear, a plastic-free fitness brand, to establish the new Mover brand.

The two Swiss sustainable manufacturing experts will collaborate on a series of pieces displaying Ventile fabric, which mainly focuses on making sporting and outdoor clothing pieces without the use of plastic-based fabric blends or coatings.

The Mover Ventile Swisswool Blouson will be part of the collection, and it will be created from 100% recycled Ventile ECO 400 RCO fabric, with alpaca wool insulation and a breathable down proof cotton inside. Ventile Eco Recycled fabric is manufactured entirely of recycled cotton and is reported to be the only fabric of its sort on the market.

The Mover Ventile Shell Jacket, a lightweight outerwear piece constructed from Ventile L35 ORG and organic cotton fabric, is also part of the line. An adjustable hood, cotton tape, clever hidden pockets, and double-lap felled seams round out the ergonomic design.

Ventile marketing manager Daniel Odermatt, said that their relationship with Mover indicates that the momentum for sustainable, plastic-free items is gathering steam. They’re seeing a global trend toward the elimination of single-use plastics, and it is encouraging to see the same feeling gaining hold in the textile business. It’s been a fascinating journey for both Ventile and Mover so far, and they’re looking forward to continuing their collaboration and supplying a terrific brand with such a crucial message to spread.

Ventile and the team behind Mover first collaborated in 2017. The partnership’s motivating purpose was to create clothes for outdoor enthusiasts that did not require the use of plastics or synthetic materials.
