Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC), a pioneering company in the polyester sector worldwide, has always retained its dedication to the long-term viability of the business. At the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS), which will take place from October 17-19, 2023, FENC, a pioneer in textile technology and environmentally friendly ideas, will broaden its line of environmentally friendly products from sports to worldwide fashion trends. In doing so, the company will continue to develop a green supply chain.

The idea of “green fashion” was incorporated into product design by FENC’s Knitting and Dyeing SBU in 2023 with the introduction of FENC® TOPGREEN® BIO3, which was achieved through the integration of environmentally friendly raw materials in the upstream process with textile and dyeing development technology in the downstream process. As a result, FENC’s Knitting and Dyeing SBU was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

The “Ocean Recycled Anti-Bursting Jersey” continues to be a popular choice for major sporting events in 2023. This trend is expected to continue its upward trajectory. These jerseys, worn by 16 teams competing in the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the UEFA Champions League, are a great example of the progress made in environmentally friendly functional textiles.

Not only did the unique carbon-negative technological products of FENC’s Filament SBU win favor with fashion labels like ZARA and H&M, but they also worked with ADIDAS to develop a collection of Australian Open tennis jerseys. FENC’s Filament SBU is a subsidiary business unit of FENC. Various possibilities for cutting carbon emissions are brought to light, and new industry standards are established due to international sporting events.

Fabric scraps are converted into 100% regenerated spun yarn by FENC® TOPGREEN® rTEX Spun Yarn through a process that is wholly mechanical and does not include adding any chemical components. The denim recycling yarn known as FENC® TOPGREEN® rTEX keeps its signature indigo hue while removing the need for dying in the later stages of production. This significantly reduces water usage, energy consumption, and carbon emissions. Denim fashions that are fashion-forward and focused on design are created as a side effect of this process, which gives previously rejected materials a second chance at life.

Over the past three decades, FENC has invested in the circular economy, drawing on its core competencies to develop a wide range of cutting-edge recycling technologies. These technologies include applications for recycling trash from land, ocean, and air. FENC is dedicated to creating environmentally friendly products, taking the initiative to lead the industry, and working in concert with other participants in the value chain to encourage the growth of a sustainable ecosystem.
