As you are well aware that the Textile Engineering Industry plays a very vital role in supporting Atmanirbar Bharat, an initiative of our Honourable Prime Minister, and accordingly the Minister of Heavy Industry (DHI) has taken initiative in the development of Textile Engineering Industry through various subsidy Schemes for Enhancing Global Competitiveness of the Capital Goods Sector. It is noteworthy to mention that the Minister of Heavy Industry (DHI) has allotted to ITAMMA the work of Awareness of these schemes which is being undertaken by ITAMMA through a series of events viz., Conferences & Seminars under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”- celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence, in Partnership with Ministry of Heavy Industry (MHI) since November 2021. After completing this Mission of 10 events in the mid of January 2022, ITAMMA will bring out a special publication on the outcome of these events as well will submit the White paper to MHI having the details of suggestions/grievances noted during the course of this Mission at 10 Clusters of Textile Industry at PAN India.

Technical Report
Ms. Deepali Plawat, Dty Director from Ahmedabad Textile Industry’s Research Association (ATIRA) gave a presentation on the topic “ATIRA’s facilities for Textile and Allied Industries” for the development of Textile Industry. She mentioned that ATIRA being given excellence in composites is working on various projects under the Ministry of Textiles and since after knowing the information in regard with Ministry of Heavy Industries supporting the textile Engineering Industry of India through various schemes; ATIRA will be taking a lead role in working out the various projects for the Gujarat Textile Engineering Industry which can be submitted to MHI for funding.
Ms. Tejashree Shah, Lead – Stakeholder Engagement of International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology (iCreate) gave a presentation on the “Entrepreneurship Mentoring Programme” where she gave insight about the activities of iCreate whereby nurturing the start-ups right from the beginning of the projects up to the marketing stage. She mentioned that since the Ministry of Heavy Industries is also supporting startups under a certain scheme it will be beneficial for stakeholders of the Textile Engineering Industry of Gujarat under the guidance of iCreate to go for new start-ups.
Mr. Ketan Panchal, Manager Marketing Centre Incharge, Sanand and Bhavnagar from Indo German Tool Room (IGTR) gave the details on the activities performed by IGTR and also mentioned the specific projects which are being undertaken for the benefit of the Textile Engineering Industry. Further showing the willingness to upgrade the infrastructure set up of IFTR under the various schemes of MHI.
Mr. Mehul Palan, National Head – SMEInsure from Alliance Insurance Brokers gave a presentation on “Alliance Insurance Brokers – SME Insure and its Facilities available for the Development of Indian Textile Engineering Industry”. He was specially invited for the event as during covid situation many stakeholders of textile engineering industry have reported their problem in regard with the subject.
Mr. Deep Bhojani, Managing Director, Enerzytech Industries Pvt. Ltd official channel partner of The Tata Power Co Ltd gave a detailed presentation on the solar project where he stressed upon Clean / Green Energy and informed that it’s good to know that this activity is being covered under the schemes of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
The presentation in regards to Awareness on Schemes of Capital Goods Sector & Government Initiatives for the Development of Indian Textile Industry was delivered by Mr. N. D. Mhatre, Director General (Tech) ITAMMA where he covered all the schemes of MHI under Global Competitiveness of the Capital Goods Sector used).
