A $40 million investment will result in the creation of 40 new employment and the expansion of the site’s capacity.

PFNonwovens is investing $40 million to expand its business in Cape Town, South Africa. The expansion will result in the creation of up to 40 new employment as well as the expansion of its production facility. The South African facility was created in 2017 with a $90 million investment. It is the first company in South Africa to invest in the latest Reicofil’s R5 gear.
PFN South Africa is the first company in South Africa to invest in the latest Reicofil R5 gear. With world-class infrastructure and easy access to the rest of the continent, the Western Cape is an obvious choice for the company’s African development.
PFN’s newly hired EMEA Commercial Director, Mariann Forsström, stated that “this investment corresponds with our global objective to increase our hygiene and medical businesses on the African continent.”

PFNonwovens has announced plans to expand its Pennsylvania production capacity. The company is currently adding two Reicofil 5 lines to its North American Center of Excellence in Hazleton, PA, and operates a semi-commercial R5 in the Czech Republic. The extra capacity is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2022. PFN continues to contribute to the local economy and well-being.
