Uzbekistan Increases Its Textile Exports

Uzbekistan exported $637.7 million worth of textile products to 54 countries in the first quarter of 2021 according to reports.

The figure is $174.9 million higher than the same time last year, according to the Statistics Committee.

According to the committee’s report, a total of 5,080 textile businesses manufactured products worth 11.5 trillion soums during the period under consideration.

In the total volume of items produced by textile enterprises in the country, Fergana (15%), Kashkadarya (9.8%) and Tashkent (9.1%) regions have the highest share.

Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $1.9 billion to 70 countries in 2020.
