Together, Kipaş Denim, a well-known Turkish textile manufacturer, Jeanologia, a company that provides sustainable textile solutions, and Archroma, a leader in specialty chemicals with an emphasis on sustainability, are introducing a new denim finishing method that improves sustainability and aesthetic appeal.
Kipaş Denim’s revolutionary Contra Denim idea was created by these three industry visionaries integrating their state-of-the-art technologies. With the use of greener techniques that use less water and energy and emit fewer greenhouse gases, manufacturers can now produce eye-catching and long-lasting distressed effects, such as detailed patterns, whiskering, and fades.
Deep, long-lasting colors are produced by the Contra Denim series, which is made to be laser- and laundry-friendly. Using laser or washing techniques, the collection creates strong contrasts and amazing vintage looks. It is predicated on Archroma’s DENIM HALO methodology, which combines dyeing and pretreatment techniques that conserve resources, such as DIRSOL® RD, to produce denim that is laser-friendly and easy to wash.
The sophisticated laser marking technique from Jeanologia is used to create the vintage-inspired looks of Contra Denim. Because of the partnership between Archroma and Jeanologia, there is no longer any need for potassium permanganate spray or manual hand scraping, both of which have the potential to be hazardous to the environment and employees.
