HGH India Concludes Successful 15th Edition Sets Sights

HGH India recently concluded its 15th edition, marking a significant milestone in the home textiles industry. The event, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, showcased a remarkable increase in both exhibitors and visitors, setting new standards for innovation in the sector.

Event Highlights

The four-day trade show attracted a total of 42,140 visitors from 640 cities and towns across India, including 410 international attendees from 33 countries. Notable figures at the event included:

Mr Arun Roongta, Managing Director of HGH India, expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcomes, noting a strong interest from retailers and distributors in sourcing innovative products ahead of the upcoming Diwali and festive seasons. Over 90% of exhibitors reported excellent business results, highlighting a significant improvement in the design and quality of Indian products.

Innovations and New Launches

The show featured several noteworthy product launches, including:

  • Arvind Lifestyle, one of India’s largest woven textile manufacturers, introduced bed sheets for the first time.
  • Jindal Lifestyle debuted cookware under their brand Arttd’inox, alongside other premium steel gifts.
  • Kansyam Metalex showcased a full dinner set in bronze, emphasising the health benefits of the metal.
  • Tramontina, a Brazilian housewares brand with over a century of experience, entered the Indian market at HGH India.
  • The Orange Tree, India’s largest furniture exporter, exhibited for the first time.
  • Unique handicrafts, such as limestone carvings, garnered appreciation from attendees.

Additionally, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) held a conference at the event to discuss industry standards for certified water bottles and vacuum products, reflecting the growing focus on quality and compliance in the market.

Celebrity Engagement

The event also attracted several celebrities. Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani and Actress Kajal Aggarwal launched their brand licensing programs at HGH India. Sonali Bendre, acting as the brand ambassador for Refresh Mattress, introduced a new range of mattresses. Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi was present at the Borosil booth, and Chef Sanjeev Kapoor interacted with attendees at the Wonderchef exhibit.

Future Prospects

HGH India has established itself as a vital platform for the home improvement sector over the past decade. The next edition is scheduled for December 3-6, 2024, in Bengaluru, aiming to tap into the growing South Indian market. This region, which contributes significantly to India’s GDP, is witnessing increasing demand for home textiles, décor, and furniture.

The upcoming edition will continue to provide comprehensive sourcing solutions for retailers, distributors, and designers, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the home products sector. With its focus on connecting Indian and global brands, HGH India remains a pivotal event for stakeholders in the home textiles industry.
