These mixtures contain different percentages of PureCycle resin mixed with virgin polypropylene (PP) or post-industrial recycled material. This advancement makes it possible to produce a wider variety of consumer goods, streamlines the clearance procedure for customers, expands the market for items with more recycled material, and enhances PureCycle’s value.

CEO Dustin Olson expressed his satisfaction with the recent compound trials, highlighting their significance for the company’s future. He stated, “Our success in compound trialing opens new avenues for reaching more customers. There is high demand for our resin, and compounding will reduce adoption barriers and approval timelines for companies seeking recycled content.”

PureCycle is expanding its compounding efforts in collaboration with partners who specialize in developing and producing recyclate-based polymers with performance properties and consistency similar to virgin resins.

Olson noted, “Legislation is increasingly mandating recycled content requirements both domestically and globally. Our ability to blend resin with post-industrial recycled material or virgin PP allows us to offer brand owners consistent products tailored to their specific needs.”
