Dr. N. N. Mahapatra boasts a distinguished career in the textile and dye industry. He holds a strong academic foundation with a B.Sc. (Tech) in Textile Chemistry from UDCT (now ICT) in Mumbai, followed by an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Utkal University, Orissa. He further expanded his knowledge with an M.B.A. from I.M.M., Kolkata.
Dr Mahapatra brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked for 38 years in various senior positions across textile and dye manufacturing companies in India and abroad. His expertise is further recognized by his prestigious awards, including C Col FSDC (U.K.) and C Text FTI (Manchester) in 2007, and the esteemed Fellowship (FRSC) from the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, in 2018.
Dr. Mahapatra is not only a seasoned practitioner but also a prolific author. He has penned 10 books on various facets of the textile industry, including “Textile Dyes & Dyeing,” “Textile Technology,” and “Modern Textile Processing.”
Currently, Dr Mahapatra leverages his expertise as the Business Head (Dye) at Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd. in Mumbai.
