In response to demand from customers, Cornwall-based sustainable apparel firm Celtic & Co. has launched its first denim collection. The mid-rise, wide-leg, and straight-leg versions in indigo rinse and mid-wash are among the two basic cuts of the sustainable denim collection, which goes live online on July 17.

The managing director of Celtic & Co., Zoe Bray, expressed delight about the latest launch, saying, “The team is ecstatic that our first pair of jeans has arrived! We had been discussing it for a while now, and at last they are here.”Celtic & Co. to launch first denim collection - TheIndustry.fashion

The sustainability of the line was highlighted by Bray, who said, “Sustainability was taken into consideration when producing these jeans. The rinses we have selected are 100% cotton sourced from a source that aims to enhance the lives of cotton farmers worldwide, and their production uses very little water.”

“Using this pure natural fiber not only makes them easy to recycle at the end of their lives, but it also makes them more durable because it doesn’t contain elastane,” she continued. We can extend the life of our jeans by purposefully avoiding mid-weight denim that contains elastane because it is completely non-recyclable and deteriorates with time, causing jeans to lose their shape.
