The 63rd Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress & 4th Innovation Days

It has been announced that the 4th Innovation Days and 63rd Dornbirn Global Fiber Congress would be held in Dornbirn, Austria, from September 11–13, 2024. The circular economy, fiber developments, sustainability, and cutting-edge energy technology will be the main topics of discussion during the event. Highlights include 25 innovators at the 4th Innovation Days, 125 expert talks, the Fiber Innovation Platform exhibiting novel ideas, and a networking platform for business executives.

The event’s presentations will be on cutting-edge technology and environmental projects, with a special emphasis on recycling, the circular economy, and fiber developments. Topics covered in the program include biopolymers, biomaterials, surface modification, and nonwovens. There will also be talks on the relationship between fibers and energy, covering subjects including building shading systems, energy-efficient melt spinning techniques, and items made from fibers that may be used to harvest energy.

The Lenzing Young Scientist Award is given by the Lenzing Group to deserving bachelor’s and master’s students who offer creative answers to environmental problems in the fiber and textile sectors. Submissions in English will be accepted for the award, which has a EUR 5,000 reward, from May 1 to June 30, 2024.
