A strategic relationship between Sephora, the world-famous omni-channel prestige beauty retailer, and Reliance Beauty and Personal Care Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), has been announced. The goal of this partnership is to advance and reshape premium beauty retail in India. As a result of the collaboration, RRVL is granted the sole authority to enhance and broaden Sephora’s visibility throughout Indian retail channels.

Ever since its 2012 debut in the Indian market, Sephora has leveraged its strong brand identity, superb product curation skills, and unique approach to beauty and experiential retail to meet the wide range of beauty demands of India’s vast customer base.

As part of the agreement, Arvind Fashions Limited would cede ownership of Sephora’s 26 current locations across 13 Indian cities to Reliance Beauty & Personal Care Limited. This change opens the door for Sephora to become more widely present in the nation. Both the online and physical businesses will remain open and operating normally during this transitional phase. The beauty division of RRVL is managed by Reliance Beauty & Personal Care Limited, and this collaboration will expand its range of products.

The beauty and personal care market in India is thought to be in its early stages. It is now valued at $17 billion and is expected to develop at a compound annual growth rate of 11%. This establishes India as one of the world’s biggest unexplored consumer marketplaces.

RRVL is the biggest retailer in India and among the fastest-growing in the world. It has a special blend of in-depth knowledge of its customers and unrivalled access to them, both online and offline.
