On The Road Again, a brand of upcycled bags and home goods is gaining recognition for its unique approach to sustainable fashion.

The brainchild of Mary DiMouro, a lifelong resident of Hudson, Massachusetts, the brand repurposes materials that would otherwise end up in landfills and gives them new life. Inspired by her mother, a talented seamstress, DiMouro decided to embrace sewing in 2018 and launched On The Road Again.

The name of the brand, suggested by one of DiMouro’s sisters, perfectly captures its mission. By using discarded materials, DiMouro and her team are putting these materials “back on the road again.” DiMouro’s mother, who worked as a seamstress from home, served as her inspiration and instilled in her an eye for creative designs. With an unwavering work ethic, DiMouro has been committed to learning and perfecting her craft.

One of the brand’s flagship products is its upcycled tote bag made from durable truck tarp remnants. This eco-friendly approach resonates with customers who are increasingly conscious of the impact of textile waste on the environment.

DiMouro sources materials from a maker in New Hampshire who specializes in repurposing deadstock and remnants.

In addition to prioritizing sustainability, On The Road Again also gives back to the community. Every purchase from the Raymond and Coastal Collection supports One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reforestation efforts. The Liberty Collection contributes a portion of its profits to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City.

As the business grows, DiMouro aims to expand her brand and hopes to have her products sold at major retailers like Macy’s. Currently, customers can purchase her bags directly from the On The Road Again website or from select retail locations, including the Sarah Bertochi Handmade Store in Hudson, Avenue C Design in Framingham, and the Mill Building in Clinton.

DiMouro’s genuine passion for sustainable fashion and her dedication to creating fashion-forward goods that have a positive impact make On The Road Again a brand to watch in the world of Upcycled fashion.
