The PM Mitra Mega Textile and Apparel Park in Lucknow will be developed by the Yogi Adityanath government in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “5F” vision (Farm-Fibre-Factory-Fashion-Foreign). The government has already identified land for the park at Atari village in Malihabad tehsil of the state capital.

A government spokeswoman stated here on Tuesday that after the park is finished, “one lakh young people will have employment opportunities.”

The Yogi government anticipates that the projected park, which will employ one lakh young people and be furnished with cutting-edge amenities to make it competitive on a global scale, will attract an investment of Rs 10,000 crore from various investors.

The park was created with the intention of providing all the facilities required for the bringing the traders who work in the textile business under one roof will lower production costs.

The choice of Attari Village was made with the park’s connectivity in mind. National Highway 20 and State Highway 20 are both four-lane roads that connect Lucknow to Sitapur and Hardoi, respectively, and are both located 20 km apart from it. Additionally, there is a six-lane, 20-kilometer outer ring road.

With Lucknow Railway Station 40 kilometres away and Malihabad Railway Station 16 km away, the projected apparel park offers excellent rail accessibility. In addition, the park is 45 kilometres from the Lucknow International Airport, 95 kilometres from the Kanpur Node of the Dedicated Freight Corridor, and 111 kilometres from Kanpur of the Inland Container Depot.

The suggestion is to Establish a public-private partnership (PPP) to build the park. A provision of Rs. 300 crore has been established for manufacturing units under this plan, and core infrastructure worth Rs. 500 crore would be built on a first-come, first-served basis.

To provide state-of-the-art amenities, the park’s construction has been separated into three phases: general infrastructure, social infrastructure, and luxury space.

Road networks, 24-hour electricity and water availability, water supply, warehouses, zero liquid discharge wastewater treatment facilities, training and skill development facilities, an administrative building with a facility for product display, an exhibition centre with a testing lab, etc. are all included in the shared infrastructure.

The social infrastructure consists of housing areas, dormitories for workers, medical facilities, shops, recreation areas, green spaces, parks, and security measures, among other things. The premium space, likewise, consists of industrial plots and plug and industrial sheds.
