Haji Khudabux Amir & Umer, one of the most reputable cotton trading firms in Pakistan’s textile industry, and Akhtar Textiles, the largest Pakistani supplier of denim jeans to Levi’s, joined forces to become INDIGO TEXTILE (Pvt) Ltd. in 2005. In 2005, the joint venture had just 42 looms. INDIGO TEXTILE now has 202 looms, and it has aspirations to grow to 222 looms in the near future. With the main objective of collaborating with the top international companies, INDIGO TEXTILE began producing denim in 2006. Currently, Levi’s purchases 55% of the denim manufactured, with the remaining 40% going to other well-known retailers including H&M, Marks & Spencer, and Inditex. The colour indigo appears in the Through agencies, the USA, UK, and Europe.

In order to further expand their capabilities, INDIGO Textile recently purchased a POWER-FRAME stenter from BRÜCKNER, the global market leader for dry finishing in Germany. The decision to use a 12 chamber POWER-FRAME stenter by BRÜCKNER was chosen for a number of reasons, including quality, dependability, and the lower cost of production offered by the BRÜCKNER machine, according to Aamir Maqbool, Man-aging Director of INDIGO TEXTILE. The choice, which was also chosen with future needs in mind, is meant to accommodate rising production demands and keeps the greatest finishing flexibility in mind.

Today, it is evident that the new BRÜCKNER machine, which was built with German technology and has a stellar record for operational reliability and customer service, greatly boosted efficiency. The high standard BRÜCKNER stenter’s automation enables for superior control over the machine’s settings, resulting in the highest-quality finishing outcomes. “A less expensive solution might look appealing on paper, but it would end up costing significantly more in the long run due to additional investments, greater operating expenses, and inconsistent quality. Aamir Maqbool explains that choosing BRÜCKNER ensured a trustworthy long-term investment.

The maximum drying capacity and low energy consumption of the BRÜCKNER POWER-FRAME stenter with horizontal clip chain and direct gas heating are impressive. The tried-and-true split-flow technique offers the best air distribution, while Venturi nozzles guarantee the even mixing of circulating and ambient air for the greatest possible temperature consistency. At INDIGO, a J-Box at the line’s intake and exit guarantees uninterrupted service even when batches are changed.

With great pride, INDIGO TEXTILE on having a circular manufacturing method that provides the best quality denim fabric and on being one of Pakistan’s top producers of denim. The entire denim manufacturing process, from the yarn to the completed fabric, is under the supervision of INDIGO. All pertinent international quality and sustainability standards support them. The business feels that caring for individuals and societies all over the world is their top priority. They process environmentally and socially responsible denim for this purpose.

Aamir Maqbool is optimistic about Pakistan’s textile industry’s future, especially with regard to denim and apparel made of denim. In his opinion, Pakistan leads its regional rivals in terms of R&D and product development for the denim industry. sector. While garment production capacities have increased in recent years, Pakistan’s verticality has also improved. Issues with the supply chain are more important than ever. Indigo Textile intends to make an investment in a cutting-edge spinning plant that will give them total control over the supply chain and enable them to meet 80% of the demand for yarn internally. The potential of Pakistan to innovate, raise product quality to a new level, and improve its capacity to produce high-quality goods on schedule will all expand along with vertical integration in the denim industry. Pakistan has been a major player in the global denim supply chain as a result of all these causes.
