The largest fabric and curtain store in the Netherlands, Jan Sikkes, has permanently closed all of its locations due to bankruptcy. On the Troostwijk Auctions platform, there will be 11 different online auctions with a total of 11 million linear metres of fabric up for bid. The Amersfoort Jan Sikkes branch’s merchandise and furniture are currently almost up for grabs. The auction ends at 10:00 a.m. on March 30, 2023, a Thursday.
With the help of three generations of Sikkes, the family firm Jan Sikkes, which was established in Workum in 1934, expanded to become one of the biggest fabric stores in the Netherlands.
