PM MITRA Textile Park In Virudhnagar Sparks Jobs and Revenue

The Memorandum of Understanding for the country’s first PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park was signed between the Central and State governments here on Wednesday. It will be located in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar District and employ about 2 lakh people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted the event on Twitter, writing: “This is a very important day for my sisters and brothers of Tamil Nadu!” “A PM MITRA mega textiles park would be located in the affluent neighbourhood of Virudhunagar. This would help the local economy and benefit the state’s youth in general, #PragatiKaPMMitra “added he. The PM MITRA Parks would generate thousands of jobs overall, greatly boosting the textile industry. According to Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal, there would be numerous job prospects and an estimated 20 lakh people will find “new work” as a result of the about Rs 70,000 crore investment. Chief, the massive project would guarantee economic growth in south Tamil Nadu.

The PM MITRA Parks would contribute to the development of top-notch industrial infrastructure that would draw substantial investment, including foreign direct investment (FDI), and promote innovation and job growth in the textile industry. According to the Union government, they represent a significant advancement in achieving the government’s goal of making India a centre for the production and export of textiles on a global scale.
