Zalando, Circ Launch Lyocell Apparel from Recycled Textiles

Zalando, one of Europe’s leading fashion and lifestyle retailers, has launched a new sustainable fashion collaboration with textile recycler Circ, introducing a blouse and dress made entirely from 100% Circ Lyocell.
Available from today and priced from €29.99, the garments are designed to highlight the accessibility and adaptability of Circ’s breakthrough material. Circ Lyocell has already garnered industry attention through its previous use by designers and brands such as Christian Siriano, Mara Hoffman, Patrick McDowell, and Zara.

This latest initiative further cements Circ’s growing presence in Europe, following the announcement of its first commercial-scale plant in France and a strategic alliance with polyester manufacturer Selenis.
Revolutionizing Textile Recycling
Circ’s patented textile-to-textile recycling technology addresses one of the industry’s toughest challenges: the recycling of blended polyester and cotton (polycotton). Every year, millions of tons of polycotton textile waste end up in landfills or incinerated due to the difficulty in separating and recovering the blended materials.
As the only platform currently in-market that can separate and recover both polyester and cotton fibers from polycotton blends in a single process, Circ stands out as a cornerstone in the shift towards circularity in the fashion supply chain.

Expanding Circular Fashion in Europe
This partnership with Zalando exemplifies the kind of industry collaboration needed to scale circular solutions. The launch not only makes sustainable garments more accessible to a broader audience but also reinforces the role of innovation in achieving fashion’s sustainability goals.
