WTC Mumbai & India Post Partner to Boost Global Trade

Maharashtra Postal Circle (Department of Posts) and World Trade Center (WTC) Mumbai entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance trade facilitation, logistics, and international connectivity. The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of MVIRDC WTC Mumbai and President of the All India Association of Industries (AIAI), alongside Ms. Suchita Joshi, Postmaster General of the Navi Mumbai Region.

The partnership aims to combine India Post’s extensive nationwide network with WTC Mumbai’s international outreach, offering integrated logistics solutions that will enhance cross-border trade, create export opportunities, and improve the ease of doing business, especially for MSMEs.


Dr. Vijay Kalantri emphasized: “We are happy to sign this MoU with India Post. WTC Mumbai will actively support and facilitate awareness among the trade and industry fraternity about India Post’s connectivity and services. Together, we will conduct programs to highlight the vital role India Post plays in logistics and trade facilitation.”

Adding further, Dr. Sudhir J. Jakhere (IPoS), Assistant Postmaster General (Mails & BD), outlined India Post’s upcoming initiatives, including the International Business Centre in Mumbai, the National Logistics Organization, and the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra. With services spanning over 70 countries and outreach extending to the remotest parts of Maharashtra, India Post is positioning itself as a crucial driver of trade, exports, and inclusive growth.

This collaboration is set to strengthen India’s global business connectivity, leveraging institutional synergies to boost competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainable economic growth.
