WRA Emerges as Innovation Hub at Bharat Tex 2026

The Wool Research Association (WRA), Thane, participated in Bharat Tex 2026 (14–17 July) at Bharatmandapam, New Delhi, showcasing its research, innovation and technical capabilities. It emerged as a major innovation hub with strong international and industry interest in research, testing, product development and commercial scaling.
Key highlights included:
- Australian and New Zealand wool-sector delegations expressing interest in MoUs for collaborative research, technology exchange and value-added wool products.
- Strong interest in wool-based technical textiles and Sportech, featuring eco-friendly herbal moth-proofing, agro-mulch, building/acoustic insulation panels, wool denim and other value-added products, underscoring WRA’s leadership in converting Indian coarse wool into sustainable high-value applications.
- Attention to its pilot plant for braiding, twisting and high-performance ropes for sports, industrial safety, defence and technical uses.
- Showcase of NABL-accredited testing, certification and ecological assessment facilities covering physical, chemical, comfort, thermal, performance and functional testing for quality, safety, sustainability and global compliance.
