World Agriculture Day 2026: Agrizy Highlights Efforts to Strengthen India’s Agricultural Value Chain

Company outlines initiatives supporting farmers, MSME processors, sustainable farming practices, and value-added food processing across India.

Agriculture extends beyond cultivation and involves a network of farmers, processors, manufacturers, workers, and businesses that contribute to transforming agricultural produce into value-added products. On World Agriculture Day 2026, Agrizy highlighted its efforts to strengthen different stages of this value chain through farming support, processing, and market linkages.

Through its Organic and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programmes, Agrizy works directly with farming communities across more than 9,000 acres of agricultural land. These initiatives promote responsible cultivation practices aimed at reducing dependence on chemical pesticides while supporting healthier soils, improved water retention, and sustainable farming systems.

The company currently works with more than 22,000 farmers across India, providing market access, timely payments, and approximately 15% higher income realization through quality-focused and demand-linked sourcing programmes.

Agrizy also highlighted the importance of reducing post-harvest losses by improving processing and market connectivity. According to the company, over the past year it processed more than 18,500 metric tonnes of fruits and vegetables into value-added products, helping extend product usability while reducing food wastage and preserving resources used during cultivation.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Vicky Dodani, Co-founder and CEO of Agrizy, said:

“On World Agriculture Day, we celebrate not only the farmers who cultivate our food, but every stakeholder who helps transform agricultural output into economic opportunity.”

He further added:

“The future of agriculture will not be defined solely by how much we grow. It will be defined by how effectively we preserve, process and create value from what we grow - while ensuring that the benefits reach farmers, processors, workers and communities alike. At Agrizy, we remain committed to building an agricultural ecosystem where sustainability, prosperity, and innovation grow together.”

The company also highlighted the role of India's MSME processing sector in connecting farms with domestic and international markets. Agrizy currently partners with more than 200 MSME processors across the country, supporting them through demand access, certification assistance, compliance, quality systems, and initiatives aimed at increasing capacity utilisation by 10% to 50%.

According to Agrizy, many of these processing facilities employ workforces in which nearly 70% of employees are women, contributing to employment opportunities in rural and semi-urban areas.

The company stated that its focus remains on strengthening agricultural sustainability, improving value addition, supporting processors, and expanding market opportunities across the agricultural ecosystem.
