The Wool Research Association (WRA), headquartered in Thane, has achieved a significant international milestone by securing Associate Membership with the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) — the world's foremost authority governing the global wool textile industry.

This prestigious recognition positions WRA among an elite global network dedicated to research, innovation, testing, certification, and sustainability across the wool value chain. The membership underscores WRA's unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity within the industry.

Founded in 1930, IWTO represents the collective interests of the global wool trade, currently encompassing 45 members across 30 countries. For WRA, this membership opens a new chapter defined by international collaboration, enhanced credibility, and strengthened leadership in advancing India's presence within the global wool and textile sector.
