West Bengal Garment Expo Expected to Generate ₹1,600 Crore in Business, Showcasing 1,000+ Brands

Three-day buyers-sellers meet and B2B expo in Kolkata aims to strengthen trade partnerships with participation from national and international apparel brands.
An association of garment manufacturers and dealers in West Bengal is expecting wholesale business transactions worth around ₹1,600 crore during its three-day buyers-sellers meet and B2B expo, which commenced on Sunday in Kolkata.
The exhibition is being organised across more than two lakh sq ft of exhibition space and features over 1,000 national and international brands displaying ready-made garments for men, women and children.
Speaking about the event, West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association President Hari Kishan Rathi said:
"The 60th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet and B2B Expo marks a significant milestone for us. Our objective is to provide a dynamic platform where businesses can connect, explore emerging market trends and expand their reach. We expect the event to generate business worth nearly Rs 1,600 crore."
He added that participation from more than 1,000 brands and buyers from India and abroad is expected to strengthen trade partnerships, create new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of West Bengal's garment and textile sector.
The association's Honorary Secretary Devendra Baid said the garment industry is one of the largest employment generators and an important contributor to the state's economy.
