Wazir Advisors, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED)-BRAC University (BRACU) and the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) have jointly launched the inaugural edition of the Bangladesh & Global Apparel Trade Update.
The monthly report brings together developments in Bangladesh's apparel sector with trends across major global sourcing markets. It covers areas including apparel exports, international trade, retail demand and competitive positioning to support manufacturers, exporters, policymakers, brands, investors and development organisations in assessing market developments.

July 2026 Edition Highlights Bangladesh Apparel Exports
The July 2026 edition reports that Bangladesh exported US$ 4.0 billion worth of apparel in July 2026. Knitwear accounted for 55% of exports, representing the larger share.
The report also notes short-term softness in major export destinations, including the EU and the United States. Despite these conditions, Bangladesh remains the world's second-largest apparel exporter, according to the report.
