Voltas Subsidiary UMPESL Partners with Danitech to Expand Advanced Textile Solutions in India
Exclusive agency agreement brings Danitech’s textile dyeing, finishing and automation technologies to the Indian market through UMPESL.
Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services Limited (UMPESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas Limited, a Tata Enterprise, has entered into a strategic agency agreement with Danitech Group, a provider of textile dyeing, finishing and automation technologies. Danitech Group is represented under the agreement by Danitech Engineering & Solutions Srl (Italy) and its subsidiary Suzhou Danitech Intelligent Technology (China).
As part of the agreement, UMPESL has been appointed as the exclusive partner for the promotion, sales, technical consultancy and after-sales support of Danitech’s complete range of products and integrated solutions throughout India. The collaboration will operate in coordination with Danitech’s global headquarters to deliver the company’s technologies to customers in the Indian textile industry.
The partnership combines Danitech’s engineering capabilities with UMPESL’s project execution experience, nationwide service network and presence in the Indian textile market.
With more than seven decades of experience, UMPESL provides end-to-end textile solutions covering the value chain from spinning to garmenting, supported by engineering services and customer support.
According to the companies, the collaboration is intended to expand access to textile processing technologies, automation systems and energy-efficient solutions for the Indian textile industry, while also providing lifecycle service support. The agreement aligns the organisations' efforts in innovation, operational efficiency and sustainable growth across the sector.
UMPESL will oversee promotion, sales, technical consultancy and after-sales support for the full portfolio of solutions from Danitech Engineering & Solutions Srl (Italy) and Suzhou Danitech Intelligent Technology, working in coordination with Danitech’s global headquarters.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Danilo Cagnazzi, Chairman, Danitech, and Mr. Pradip Roy, Head – Textile Division, UMPESL, in the presence of Mr. B. Saikumar, Head – Post Spinning, UMPESL, and Ms. Jie Yin, CEO, Danitech.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both companies highlighted the importance of the partnership in supporting the modernization and competitiveness of the Indian textile sector.
