Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences Expand Investment Outreach Across Key Sectors

Against a backdrop of global tariff uncertainties and geopolitical developments, Gujarat has continued its investment promotion efforts through the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences, held ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.

The four regional conferences—conducted in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara—were designed to bring investment opportunities closer to entrepreneurs across the state while encouraging participation from local industries and MSMEs.

According to the event data, the conferences recorded:

  • 4 Regional Conferences (Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Mehsana)
  • 13,380 projects signed
  • ₹17.5 lakh crore proposed investments
  • 11,250 MSME projects (84% of total)
  • ₹50,000 crore+ MSME investments
  • 1,300+ foreign participants
  • 10,800+ B2B meetings held
  • 1,680 CR export business enquiries generated
  • ₹4,600 CR+ incentives disbursed through GoI
  • 33 Smart GIDC estates across 13.25 acres

The conferences also highlighted Gujarat’s industrial ecosystem, which includes:

  • 230+ years of global business presence
  • 2,300+ domestic buyers
  • 2,200+ startups and MSMEs using digital technologies
  • 90+ capacity-building workshops
  • Participation from 7 partner countries
  • 14 partner organisations
  • Vaisi Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026 launch

Regional Investment Focus

North Gujarat (Mehsana)
Target: ₹15 lakh crore economy by 2047
The region’s development plan includes the Rs 2.5 lakh crore proposed investments across 9 lakh jobs, the Agri-industrial corridor, medical city, science & technology park, and renewable energy projects.

Saurashtra (Rajkot)
Target: ₹5.2 lakh crore economy by 2047
Priority sectors include the medical devices hub, Jamnagar petrochemicals powerhouse, port-led industrialisation, expansion in aerospace and defence, and advanced manufacturing.

South Gujarat (Surat)
Target: 34 lakh jobs under Super Growth Hub Plus
The strategy focuses on chemicals and textiles, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), green energy, logistics and sustainable agriculture.

Central Gujarat (Vadodara)
Target: 20-year economic blueprint
The plan proposes India’s sports equipment hub, a Chhota Udepur knowledge-driven industries initiative, and other sector-specific investments.

Regional Growth Themes

The conferences also outlined region-specific priorities:

  • Green Energy: Expansion of renewable energy, transmission infrastructure, battery energy storage systems and clean energy projects.
  • Chemicals: Proposed investments include ₹15,000 crore for renewable feedstock projects and ₹3,500 crore expansion in phenol production, alongside speciality chemicals and R&D.
  • Healthcare & Pharma: Growth in medical devices, APIs, medical manufacturing and biotechnology.
  • Ports & Logistics: Infrastructure expansion to improve export competitiveness.
  • MSMEs: Continued focus on supporting small businesses through industrial infrastructure and investment facilitation.

The conferences concluded with participation from industry representatives, government officials and investors, forming part of Gujarat’s preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.
