Varsity Brands Expands Partnership with Discover e-Solutions (DeSL)

Discover e-Solutions (DeSL), a provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and digital transformation solutions, has announced the expansion of its partnership with Varsity Brands. The updated agreement builds on a relationship established in 2017 and extends DeSL’s platform to additional business units and functionalities.

Varsity Spirit, a division of Varsity Brands, initially implemented DeSL’s platform in 2017 to support product development operations. Since then, the system has been used to improve operational efficiency and enhance visibility into processes. The latest phase of deployment will extend across Varsity Brands and its divisions, including Varsity Spirit and BSN SPORTS, with a focus on standardizing workflows across the organization.

“By expanding our partnership with DeSL, we are strengthening collaboration across teams and suppliers, improving visibility into development milestones, and streamlining the management of quotes, samples, and product data.” said Kevin Boleware, Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, Procurement and Product Development at Varsity Brands.

The expanded rollout includes DeSL’s PLM, Quality Management, Color Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Purchase Order (PO) Management solutions. As part of this phase, Varsity Brands will also extend platform access to selected suppliers to support collaboration in areas such as quote management and sample requests.

The increased integration with suppliers is expected to reduce manual workflows, improve visibility, and support decision-making processes. The development reflects ongoing efforts to align product development and supplier engagement processes across the company.
