Uttar Pradesh's Exports to BRICS Nations Reach $5.36 Billion in FY2025-26

State strengthens trade, technology and investment ties with BRICS nations as MSME exports and ODOP initiative support global market expansion.

Uttar Pradesh has expanded its trade, technology and investment engagement with BRICS nations, with the state's total exports to BRICS member and partner countries surpassing US$5.36 billion during FY2025-26, according to the state government.

Speaking at the BRICS MSME Forum in Agra, UP MSME Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said the state exports a wide range of products, including machinery, garments, leather, carpets and precious stones, to several countries within the BRICS grouping.

According to a state government statement, exports worth approximately US$3.938 billion were shipped to BRICS member countries, while exports valued at US$1.429 billion were sent to partner nations.

The three-day BRICS MSME Forum in Agra was attended by representatives from BRICS countries along with MSME officials, providing a platform to discuss cooperation and business opportunities.

Chaudhary stated that Uttar Pradesh's MSME sector has emerged as a major contributor to employment, innovation and economic growth. The state has around 96 lakh MSME units, providing employment to approximately 1.65 crore people.

He also noted that Uttar Pradesh's One District One Product (ODOP) scheme has helped connect local talent and traditional crafts with international markets, supporting the state's export growth.
