Uttar Pradesh Plans Five Textile and Apparel Parks Across Five Districts

More than 326 acres identified as preparatory work begins under the PPP model for textile and apparel park development

The Uttar Pradesh government has accelerated land acquisition for the implementation of the Sant Kabir Nagar Textile and Apparel Park scheme, a departmental official said.

According to the official, preparatory work under the scheme has also been initiated. The project proposes the establishment of five textile and apparel parks under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in Varanasi, Amroha, Bareilly, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Bijnor.

The official said that more than 326 acres of land have been identified for the projects, and the transfer of all land parcels has received cabinet approval.

“In Varanasi, 75 acres of land has been identified in Ramna while for Amroha, 79.825 acres has been earmarked. Likewise, in Bareilly, 79.58 acres has been reserved in the Bahedi area while 39.49 acres of land in Sant Kabir Nagar’s Maghar area has been set aside. The fifth project site will be in the Nagina area of Bijnor where 52.91 acres of land has been provided,” said the official.
