Uttar Pradesh Highlights Textile Investment Opportunities at Bharat Tex 2026, Showcases Industry Incentives and Policy Support

State session outlines investment opportunities, financial incentives, and infrastructure initiatives aimed at strengthening Uttar Pradesh's textile and apparel sector.

Uttar Pradesh presented its textile investment roadmap during the Bharat Tex 2026 State Session held in New Delhi, highlighting its policies, industrial ecosystem, and plans to expand textile and apparel manufacturing. The session brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and exporters to discuss investment opportunities and sector development.

Uttar Pradesh showcased its textile investment initiatives at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi through a dedicated State Session organised by the Department of Handloom & Textiles. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and exporters to discuss the state's textile ecosystem and investment opportunities.

The session highlighted Uttar Pradesh's investor-focused policies, expanding industrial infrastructure, and its vision of strengthening the textile and apparel manufacturing sector. It also outlined the state's efforts to integrate innovation, employment generation, and industrial growth within the textile value chain.

The Uttar Pradesh State Session was inaugurated by UP Minister for Handloom & Textiles, Khadi & Village Industries and Sericulture, Rakesh Sachan. During the session, he reaffirmed the state's vision of developing a modern, innovation-driven and globally competitive textile industry.

The presentations focused on policy measures supporting production clusters, employment generation, garment manufacturing, and technical textiles. Officials also outlined the state's strategy to leverage its strong handloom base while encouraging expansion across the textile value chain.

A key announcement during the event was the distribution of financial incentives and the issuance of Letters of Comfort (LoCs) under the Uttar Pradesh Textile & Garmenting Policy 2022, reflecting the state's support for existing industries and new investments.

Financial incentives were provided to four textile units:

  • KD Prints Private Limited, MeerutRs 2.37 crore
  • GO Polymers Private LimitedRs 1.26 crore
  • Paturnus Apparels Pvt. Ltd., BulandshahrRs 80 lakh
  • Vinex Industries, BulandshahrRs 74 lakh

According to the presentation, these incentives are intended to support capacity expansion, technology upgradation, and employment generation.

The government also issued Letters of Comfort to four companies planning investments in the state:

  • Chahat Exports LLPRs 16.18 crore
  • Artex Mills Pvt. Ltd.Rs 2.40 crore
  • Rachit Prints LimitedRs 1.40 crore
  • Avanti Overseas Pvt. Ltd.Rs 3.18 crore

The initiative aims to facilitate investment through policy support and ease of doing business.

During the event, Rakesh Sachan also held Business-to-Government meetings with potential master developers of PM MITRA Park and Sant Kabir Park, focusing on infrastructure development and timely implementation.

The session concluded with detailed presentations on textile policies and investment opportunities, followed by industry discussions on global competitiveness, sustainable manufacturing, and Uttar Pradesh's positioning as a destination for apparel investments.

Senior officials participating in the session included Anil Kumar Sagar, Principal Secretary, Handloom & Textiles; K. Vijayendra Pandian, Commissioner & Director, MSME, Handloom & Textiles; and Prema Sharma, Additional CEO, Invest UP.
