U.K. FTA to Revolutionize Garment Industry

On Saturday, the Apparel Export Promotion Council stated that the forthcoming free trade agreement between the U.K. and the European Union will bring about significant changes for the domestic industry, providing a substantial advantage for apparel exporters. Chairman Naren Goenka highlighted the positive impact of trade pacts with the UAE, Australia, and Japan, as they facilitate market access for this sector. Goenka also revealed that negotiations with the U.K. are in their final stages, while talks with the EU are progressing rapidly. This development is expected to open up new opportunities and boost the growth of the apparel industry in the coming period.
