Mumbai conclave brings together financial regulators, banking executives and asset managers to discuss market developments, wealth creation and investor behaviour
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) held its annual Financial Market Conclave at the Four Seasons, Mumbai, bringing together financial regulators, banking executives and institutional asset managers. The day-long event, themed “Indian Financial Markets at an Inflection Point: Capital, Confidence & the Next Growth Cycle,” focused on capital mechanisms and policy frameworks shaping India’s economic trajectory.
Financial Sector Leaders Address Market Transformation
The conclave featured an inaugural address by Shri Ashwini Kumar Tewari, Managing Director of State Bank of India, followed by a keynote fireside chat with Shri Shirish Chandra Murmu, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), moderated by senior financial journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay.
The valedictory session was led by Shri Ashok Kumar Soni, Executive Director at PFRDA. Representatives from major financial organisations, including HDFC Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund and Kotak Life, also participated in sessions examining developments across financial markets.
Rahul Banerjee Moderates Wealth Creation Panel

A key afternoon session, titled “Alpha in an Age of Uncertainty: Wealth Creation Strategies for the New Market Cycle,” was moderated by Rahul Banerjee, Founder & Managing Director of PGP Academy, leader of PGP Wealth, and Member of the Finance and Banking National Committee at BCC&I.
The session brought together institutional investors and industry practitioners for discussions on market volatility, portfolio construction and risk-adjusted wealth generation. Behavioural finance concepts, including managing loss aversion and mitigating short-term bias during market cycles, were also incorporated into the discussion.
