CEO Rajan Bahadur and Senior Vice President Vivek Shandilya visit training centres to review programmes supported by CSR initiatives and industry partnerships.
The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), in collaboration with its strategic partner The Job Plus, is strengthening hospitality skill development and employment opportunities for young people in Manipur. As part of these efforts, THSC leadership visited three hospitality training centres to assess ongoing programmes, interact with students and trainers, and explore ways to strengthen industry-aligned training across the region.
THSC Leadership Visits Hospitality Training Centres
Rajan Bahadur, Chief Executive Officer of THSC, and Vivek Shandilya, Senior Vice President of THSC, visited SAS Skills, Classic Hospitality Training Institute and JCRE Skills in Manipur.
The visits focused on reviewing ongoing training activities, engaging with students, trainers and institute management, and identifying opportunities to further develop the region’s hospitality skill development ecosystem.
Commenting on the initiatives, Rajan Bahadur, CEO of THSC, stated:
“The youth of Manipur have immense potential to excel in the hospitality industry. Our focus is on bridging the gap between skilling and employment through quality, industry-aligned training. By strengthening industry partnerships, we aim to empower young talent with the right skills and create meaningful career opportunities in India and across global markets.”
CSR-Supported and Industry-Linked Training Programmes
The training centres are implementing hospitality skill development initiatives in collaboration with THSC and The Job Plus. These include CSR-supported training programmes backed by The Oberoi Hotels, Accor Hotels and Chalet Hotels, industry-paid RTD models, and the Table Space RTD programme.
The initiatives aim to equip young aspirants with industry-relevant competencies, practical exposure and employment-oriented skills aligned with the changing requirements of the hospitality sector.
Focus on Training Quality and Workplace Readiness
During the visits, THSC leadership interacted with students, trainers and management teams across the training centres. Discussions highlighted the importance of industry-relevant skills, communication, professional discipline and workplace readiness.

The meetings also addressed ways to improve training quality, strengthen institutional and industry collaborations, and align CSR-supported and industry-linked programmes with evolving hospitality sector requirements.
These efforts are intended to bridge the gap between skill development and employment while creating sustainable career opportunities for young people in India and international markets.
Strengthening Hospitality Skills in Northeast India
The visits reaffirmed THSC’s commitment to developing the hospitality skill ecosystem in Northeast India through industry partnerships, quality training delivery, CSR-supported programmes and employment-focused initiatives.
The collaborative efforts aim to support youth empowerment and regional workforce development while addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals across the domestic and international hospitality industry.
