The Body Shop has chosen Centric Software’s Centric PLM™ to update its product development infrastructure. The implementation will begin with project management and expand to additional functions across global operations.

The Body Shop announced that it has selected Centric PLM™ from Centric Software to support its product development processes and operational workflows. The deployment will initially focus on project management and will later extend to artwork, quality, compliance, and sourcing functions across operations in the UK, Asia, India, and the Middle East.

Founded in 1976 in Brighton, England, by Dame Anita Roddick, the company operates in cosmetics, skincare, and personal care. The brand sources ingredients globally and operates with a stated focus on ethical practices.

Following its acquisition by Auréa in 2024, The Body Shop operates in more than 80 countries with close to 2,000 stores. The company is undertaking efforts to improve operational processes and support growth through updates to its product lifecycle systems.

The company conducted a search for a scalable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform to replace existing systems, including spreadsheets and manual workflows. The selected solution is intended to centralise product data, improve cost visibility, support supplier collaboration, and streamline product development across departments.

“Centric PLM was selected as a strategic platform to give us a single source of truth for product data globally, improving cost visibility, governance and speed to market,” says Hitesh Amin, Chief Technology & Transformation Officer at The Body Shop “It integrates cleanly into our wider ERP, supply chain and data architecture, enabling better control across cost, quality, compliance and sustainability while providing the scalability needed to empower innovation and long-term growth. This is a deliberate investment in a platform that delivers measurable value today and future-proofs our product innovation engine.”

“Digital transformation is now a business imperative — it is key to driving sustainable growth, agility and market leadership in a fast-moving beauty market,” said Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software. “With Centric PLM as a foundation, The Body Shop is strengthening its position as a pioneer in ethical beauty by building a connected, data-driven product development engine that drives innovation, fairness and sustainable global expansion.”
