Companies approved under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles have invested ₹8,117.64 crore and generated 33,427 jobs as of March 31, 2026. The information was provided by Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita in the Lok Sabha.

According to the information presented, 170 companies have received approval under the scheme.
Among the states, Gujarat recorded the highest investment at ₹1,903.4 crore, followed by Karnataka with ₹1,516 crore and Goa with ₹1,355.9 crore.
In terms of employment generation, Tamil Nadu registered the highest number of jobs at 7,930, followed by Karnataka with 5,611 and Madhya Pradesh with 4,970.
The government also stated that no cost delays have been reported in implementing the scheme.
