Texhibition Istanbul 2026 Draws 15,493 Trade Professionals at 10th Edition

Texhibition Istanbul Fabric and Textile Accessories Fair concluded its 10th edition on 9–11 September 2026 at Istanbul Expo Center, bringing together around 500 exhibitors across five halls and 42,850 sqm. The event attracted 15,493 trade professionals, including 2,888 international visitors, while nearly 2,500 B2B meetings involving more than 300 Turkish companies were organised during the three-day fair.
Texhibition Istanbul 2026 Brings International Buyers and Textile Suppliers Together
The 10th edition of Texhibition Istanbul covered a broad range of textile products and developments, including knitted and woven fabrics, prints, artificial leather, denim, yarns, embroidery, lace, textile accessories, and innovative, sustainable and technical textile solutions.

International visitors came from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, North America, and other regions. European visitors represented 51,6% of all international attendees.
The visitor programme brought together brands, buyers, sourcing specialists, designers and product developers with manufacturers at exhibition stands, in the Business Lounge and through organised B2B programmes.
Participating international visitors and brands included Coppel, Big Star, Polo Club Europe, Tendam Group, AllSaints, Next Sourcing, Moncler, Nike, Arc’teryx Equipment, Macy’s, Paige, Alice + Olivia and Talbots.
The Hosted Buyer Programme also included representatives from Betty Barclay, Bianca Moden, El Corte Inglés, Stradivarius, Bestseller, LPP, Giorgio Armani, Stone Island, Twin Set, Urban Outfitters, Robert Graham and Norma Kamali, among others.
Türkiye’s Textile Value Chain Takes Centre Stage
Texhibition showcased Türkiye’s textile capabilities across yarn and fabric production, finishing, design and specialised textile solutions.
The country has an annual production value of approximately USD 78 billion across textiles and apparel and maintains a strong position as a supplier to the European market. Its textile industry combines large-scale manufacturing capacities with vertically integrated production, flexibility, short lead times and geographical proximity to major export markets.
“The 10th edition also featured developments in materials, sustainable production, functionality and technology.” Manufacturers presented products and solutions aimed at different requirements from international fashion brands and sourcing organisations.
International Exhibitors Expand Sourcing Portfolio
Alongside around 500 exhibitors from Türkiye, Texhibition welcomed international exhibitors from Italy, including CAFISSI S.P.A. and LANIFICIO BRUNETTO MORGANTI & C. S.P.A., as well as STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD. and UNI TEXTILE from Japan.
The organisers said Texhibition Istanbul aims to increase the number and diversity of international exhibitors while maintaining its current scale and selective exhibitor approach.
Participating companies are selected according to defined quality criteria, with attention given to product quality, production capabilities and the relevance of their collections for international sourcing markets.
Blue Black Highlights Türkiye’s Denim Industry
The Blue Black area provided a dedicated space for Türkiye’s denim sector, featuring denim collections, fabric developments, washes and finishes, along with solutions focused on more resource-efficient production.
For the 10th edition, the area adopted a Western theme based on cowboys and ranches, referencing denim’s historical association with workwear and Western culture.
Seminars and talks covered denim trends, new product and material developments and other developments in the sector. The Denim B2B Area also connected Turkish denim manufacturers with international buyers and sourcing professionals through dedicated meetings.
Nearly 2,500 B2B Meetings Held
Business meetings were a central component of the 10th edition, with more than 300 Turkish companies participating in nearly 2,500 bilateral meetings with international buyers.
John Varvatos (USA) highlighted the B2B programme for enabling the company to meet new suppliers within a short period and noted the quality and variety of Turkish fabrics.
Petite Maison Kids (USA), attending Texhibition for the first time, focused on sourcing fabrics, accessories, buttons and finishes from new suppliers.
Twinset (Italy), also participating for the first time, identified products matching its specific Fall/Winter sourcing requirements and noted the organisation and structure of the fair and access to relevant exhibitors and product areas.
Business networking continued beyond the exhibition halls at the Texhibition Gala Night at Fişekhane. The event brought together exhibitors, international buyers, industry representatives and partners at the restored 19th-century industrial complex located at the Marmarasea entrance to the Bosphorus.
Trend Area Presents Autumn/Winter 2027–28 Directions
The Trend Area featured the Autumn/Winter 2027–28 theme “Traces of Time – Carrying the Past into the Future”, organised around four trend worlds: Earth, Sky, Light and Water.
Texhibition exhibitors supplied woven and knitted fabrics and textile accessories for the presentation, which focused on seasonal colours, materials, surfaces and textures.
Earth explored material, memory and depth; Sky focused on lightness, air and possibility; Light addressed warmth, glow and perception; while Water examined flow, reflection and transformation.
Innovation Hub Showcases Next-Generation Materials
The Innovation Hub, located in the foyer, presented developments connecting textiles, technology, sustainability and design. The area was curated by Filiz Tunca and Gamze Saraçoğlu.
Exhibits included developments involving hemp, bio-microencapsulation and thermal regulation, alongside approaches to material composition, finishing and functionality. Technical data and fabric specifications were displayed with the materials.
Products and developments from Turkish manufacturers including Tan Tekstil, Nurel Group, Ağaoğlu Tekstil, Engin Textile, Baysara Tekstil, Pakipek Group and Deniz Tekstil were featured.
Among the examples presented was Umorfil®, a bionic fibre incorporating collagen peptide amino acids derived from recycled fish scales. Hemp-based textiles demonstrated the use of durable, moisture-absorbing and biodegradable natural fibres, while Saxcell/Cotton by Baysara Tekstil represented approaches to fibre and material combinations.
The Innovation Hub also featured a moisture-wicking, antibacterial and waterproof fabric combining multiple performance properties.
SmartTex Hub Debuts with 27 Companies and Institutions
The newly introduced SmartTex Hub focused on technical, functional and high-performance textiles.
A total of 27 companies and institutions participated across three categories: Functional & Smart Fabrics (Smart Performance), Eco-Technology & Upcycling (Eco-Tech) and Engineering & Innovative Fibres (Advanced Materials).
The displayed solutions included thermoregulating technical surfaces, moisture-management technologies, water- and stain-repellent materials, antibacterial and UV-protective fabrics, bio-based materials, certified recycled fibres and circular textile solutions.
Advanced Materials included ultra-light, high-strength technical yarns and next-generation composite structures.
Participating companies and institutions included Ada Denim, Ağaoğlu Tekstil, Altınyıldız, Arı Teks, Arta Tekstil, Biradlı Suni Deri, Can Tekstil, Nurel Group, Tan Tekstil and Tepar Tekstil, as well as the Textile Engineering Department of Marmara University.
ReValue Stock Hub Addresses Circular Textile Sourcing
The ReValue Stock Hub introduced surplus fabrics into a dedicated sourcing environment, using digital tools and product identification to connect available stocks with potential buyers and applications.
The platform focused on the reuse of existing textile resources and added a circular sourcing component to the fair.
Together, the Innovation Hub, SmartTex Hub and ReValue Stock Hub addressed next-generation material development, functional and technical textiles, and the use of existing textile resources.
Seminars Cover Sustainability, AI and Digitalisation
The seminar and panel programme addressed trends and developments across the textile industry.
WGSN presented Autumn/Winter 2027–28 fabric trends, while designer and creative director Riccardo Rami discussed The Age of Convergence.
Sustainability and technological transformation were also covered. Experts from the ZDHC Foundation, Archroma and Fama Sourcing UK discussed chemical compliance and the path from MRSL to market.
Representatives from Marmara University’s Textile Engineering Department contributed perspectives on sustainability, the Digital Product Passport, technical textiles and innovative applications.
Other sessions examined craftsmanship, artificial intelligence and digitalisation, including the digital journey of fabrics from physical swatches to the Digital Product Passport.
The programme concluded with the panel “What Will the Future Be Woven From?”, moderated by fashion designer and creative director Gamze Saraçoğlu and featuring designer Niyazi Erdoğan and Mehtap Elaidi.
