Texfair 2026 Concludes Successfully with Strong Industry Participation

Texfair 2026, the 15th edition organized by Southern India Mills’ Association, concluded successfully from 6–9 March 2026 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The event reinforced the importance of technological innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in advancing India’s textile industry.

The four-day exhibition brought together manufacturers, suppliers, and industry experts from across India and international markets, showcasing the latest developments in textile machinery, accessories, spares, and supporting services. The expo featured over 240 exhibitors across 250+ stalls, with participation from key textile hubs such as Coimbatore, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru, along with international exhibitors from countries including Germany, Italy, China, Switzerland, and Egypt.
The inaugural session was led by industry leaders including P. R. Venketrama Raja, Chairman of the Ramco Group, and Ashwin Chandran, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI). Speakers highlighted the need for increased focus on automation, sustainability, productivity, and global competitiveness to achieve India’s targeted textile market size of USD 350 billion by 2030.


A key highlight of the event was the SIMA AiTex Summit, which focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence and automation in textile manufacturing. Industry experts emphasized how AI-driven solutions, ERP integration, and data analytics are transforming traditional processes into efficient, data-driven systems, improving productivity, quality, and operational transparency.
The exhibition also served as a strong networking platform, enabling stakeholders across the textile ecosystem to explore business opportunities, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations. With a footfall of approximately one lakh visitors, Texfair 2026 once again demonstrated its significance as a leading platform for innovation and growth in the textile machinery and manufacturing sector.
