Temafa Maschinenfabrik GmbH to Supply Complete Hemp Straw Decortication Plant to Hanffaser Geiseltal eG in Germany

Temafa Maschinenfabrik GmbH, headquartered in Bergisch Gladbach, announced on 29 April 2026 that it has secured an order to deliver a complete decortication plant for hemp straw processing to Hanffaser Geiseltal eG, based in Mücheln.
The project represents Hanffaser Geiseltal eG’s first industrial-scale facility for converting hemp straw into hemp fibres. According to the company, the plant will be delivered, installed, and commissioned during the course of the year.
Temafa stated that the plant has been specifically designed for the efficient processing of hemp straw. The resulting fibre products are intended primarily for use in the building materials sector, including sustainable insulation materials and other ecological applications.
