Complete Textile Value Chain Vision
Telangana aims to position itself as the textile capital of South Asia by 2047, focusing on building a complete value chain from cotton production to global fashion market integration.

From Cotton to Global Markets
Telangana, a major producer of high-quality cotton, is working on an integrated textile ecosystem covering the entire chain—from cultivation to supplying markets like London, New York, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Dubai, said chief minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Expanding Industrial Strength
The state has already contributed to global vaccine and medicine production and emerged as a manufacturing hub for Apple AirPods. The government aims to replicate this success in fashion manufacturing.

ATEXCON 2026 Announcement
The vision was shared at the Asian Textile Conference 2026, organised under the theme ‘Reimagining the Future of Global Textiles'.

Hyderabad as a Creative Hub
Hyderabad has become a major film production centre, with Netflix establishing its Eyeline Studios. The state plans to encourage the film industry to source fashion locally.

Infrastructure & Growth Push
Telangana offers strong infrastructure, land, power, water and incentives. Developments include Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and multiple apparel parks, aligned with the Telangana Rising vision targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2034.

Focus on Sustainability & Skills
The government is developing green textile hubs and enhancing skill development, especially for women, by blending traditional knowledge with modern techniques.

Cultural Textile Strength
Textiles remain central to Telangana’s identity, with products like Pochampally Ikat, Gadwal sarees, Warangal durries and Narayanpet weaves.

Technology-Driven Future
IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu highlighted the use of AI, blockchain and IoT to build a transparent and competitive textile ecosystem under a “New Swadeshi” vision.
