10th edition of Techtextil India to spotlight technology, sustainability, and next-gen materials

As India accelerates its journey toward global textile leadership, Techtextil India 2025 is set to return from November 19–21, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The 10th edition will unite global innovators, policymakers, and manufacturers to shape the future of technical textiles, nonwovens, and composites.

India’s ambition to emerge as a world leader in technical textiles takes center stage at Techtextil India 2025, the country’s premier B2B trade fair on technical textiles, nonwovens, and composites. Scheduled from 19–21 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (Mumbai), this milestone 10th edition will feature over 215 exhibitors, including more than 100 first-time participants, showcasing cutting-edge textile technologies and sustainable innovations.

According to the Ministry of Textiles, India’s technical textiles exports reached USD 2.92 billion in FY 2024–25, signaling strong global demand. Packtech (37.5%) and Indutech (28%) led the export mix, driven by rising applications in packaging and industrial sectors. The UK accounted for USD 136 million (4.7%) of exports, underscoring India’s expanding presence in international value chains. With participation from Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Sweden, and the USA, Techtextil India 2025 will serve as a global platform featuring 500+ products and 300+ brands.

The exhibition’s focus extends beyond trade to knowledge sharing and collaboration. By uniting stakeholders across the value chain, the event aims to accelerate India’s progress in advanced manufacturing, circular innovation, and sustainable fiber development.

This edition introduces multiple new features under one roof — the Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia (18 November 2025), the debut Sporttech Pavilion, the German Pavilion, and the Techtextil India Conference powered by the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA). Together, these initiatives will explore innovations across sportswear, automotive, defence, healthcare, and construction sectors while fostering industry-wide transformation.

The Government of India’s recent amendments to the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles have further energized the industry. By targeting the man-made fiber (MMF) and technical textiles sectors, these reforms are expected to attract investments, create jobs, and enhance India’s competitiveness under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

“The Indian textile industry is witnessing remarkable transformation through government support, technological innovation, and global demand for sustainable materials,” said Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd. “Techtextil India 2025 will not only showcase advancements in technical textiles and nonwovens but will also act as a bridge between policy and practice. Our new initiatives — the Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia, Sporttech Pavilion, German Pavilion, and ITTA Seminar — align perfectly with India’s vision of becoming a global textile hub.”

The Dornbirn Global Fiber Conference Asia, known for its focus on fiber innovation and sustainability, will make its India debut on 18 November 2025, serving as a prelude to the exhibition. The Techtextil Symposium (19 November) will host discussions under the theme “Smart Solutions for Key Segments of Technical Textiles,” organized by ITTA. Experts will share insights on geotextiles, agrotextiles, and industrial applications, while a separate session by SPE India will examine circular supply chains and sustainability-driven manufacturing.

The newly launched Sporttech Pavilion, in collaboration with Concept N Strategies, will highlight India’s growing activewear market through the conference “India’s Activewear Revolution: Building a 360-Degree Ecosystem for Global Growth.” The session will explore performance fabrics, material innovation, and sustainable sportswear production.

Further expanding into Mobiltech, Buildtech, and Oekotech, the exhibition will connect manufacturers, investors, technology providers, and policymakers to advance India’s journey toward self-reliance, sustainability, and global leadership.

Major domestic exhibitors include Aditya Birla Yarns, Reliance, Welspun, Khosla Profil, Park Nonwoven, Sarex Chemicals, Pidilite, Suntech Geo, and Sanathan Textiles. International names such as Brückner Textile Technologies, Autefa Solutions, Bettarini & Serafini, Innovatec Microfiber Technology, Reifenhäuser Enka Tecnica, and Zoltek will also participate, showcasing the global scope of the event.

Supported by MATEXIL, ITTA, the Government of Maharashtra, and with Tamil Nadu as the Partner State, Techtextil India 2025 continues to be a cornerstone of India’s textile vision. As innovation and sustainability redefine the industry, the event strengthens India’s position as a global leader in high-performance and functional textiles.
