Sung Ki-hak Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award for Global Textile Leadership in India

Youngone Group Chairman Sung Ki-hak has been awarded a lifetime achievement honour in India for his contributions to the global textile and fashion industry. The recognition acknowledges his role in manufacturing development, supply chain expansion and industrial growth.

Youngone Group Chairman Sung Ki-hak has received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Global Textile Leadership at the 2026 Telangana Textile Dialogue held in Hyderabad, Telangana, according to the company.

The award is presented to entrepreneurs and industry leaders who have made sustained contributions to the development of the global textile and fashion sector. The evaluation is based on long-term impact across areas such as production innovation, establishment of global supply chains and development of sustainable industrial ecosystems.

Sung Ki-hak was recognised for developing an international manufacturing network with key production bases in Bangladesh, Vietnam and India. The recognition also reflects his role in strengthening Youngone’s position in functional apparel and sportswear segments.

Youngone has expanded its operations in India as part of its broader production strategy. The company completed a factory in Warangal, Telangana, in 2023 and began manufacturing operations at the facility in 2025.

In remarks released by the company, Sung said the recognition was the result of the collective efforts of employees and partners who had worked together over many years. He added that Youngone would continue to play a responsible role in promoting the sustainable development and manufacturing competitiveness of the global textile industry.

The award comes at a time when factors such as supply chain resilience, cost competitiveness and sustainability are gaining increased importance in the global apparel sector.
