Suditi Industries Limited, a well-established player in India’s textile and apparel ecosystem, is set to raise ₹58.87 crore through a mix of equity shares and warrants. The fundraising marks a pivotal step in the company’s strategic transformation from a conventional textile manufacturer into a vertically integrated kids’ retail platform, anchored by its iconic brand Gini & Jony.

The capital infusion will fuel Suditi’s expansion plans in India’s fast-growing children’s apparel and lifestyle segment. The kidswear market alone represents an estimated ₹3,00,000 crore (USD 33.5 billion) opportunity, expanding at a healthy 14–15% CAGR, making it one of the most attractive consumer categories in the country.

At the centre of this transformation is Gini & Jony, a legacy kidswear brand with decades of nationwide presence and strong emotional recall across generations. Suditi aims to leverage this brand equity to build a comprehensive, end-to-end kids’ lifestyle ecosystem spanning products, retail and digital channels.

Commenting on the fundraise and strategic roadmap, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Suditi Industries, said:
“The Indian kidswear market presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity. With Gini and Jony’s legacy, national footprint, and emotional connection with Indian parents, we are uniquely positioned to build a truly integrated ‘everything kids’ super brand. This fresh capital, combined with the experience and strategic depth of our incoming investors, enables us to accelerate growth while staying focused on our long-term vision — to be a trusted partner in every mother and child’s journey across the country.”

Backing from Seasoned Consumer-Focused Investors

The funding round has drawn participation from a strong cohort of institutional and strategic investors with a proven track record in building category-defining consumer businesses. New investors include Venkat Ramaswamy, Co-Founder of Edelweiss; Nitin Agarwal, former CEO of GlobalBees; Naresh Biyani, Founder of Capwise Financial Services; Rajesh Palviya, among others.

Existing investors continuing their support include Nikhil Vora, a leading consumer-focused investor; Sushant Goel, Co-Founder of Third Wave Coffee; and Vikrant Mudaliar, Chief Marketing Officer at Dream Sports, reflecting sustained confidence in Suditi’s transformation journey.

Highlighting the strategic value of this investor group, Harsh Agarwal, CEO of Gini & Jony, stated:
“Building a modern consumer brand today demands excellence across technology, supply chain, data, marketing, and governance. We are fortunate to have seasoned operators and founders as investors and advisors who have scaled businesses in exactly these areas. Their collective experience will help us compress learning cycles, sharpen execution at scale, and institutionalise governance frameworks befitting a market leader.”

Strong Financial Momentum and Capital Discipline

Suditi Industries currently operates with negligible debt and has demonstrated a sharp financial turnaround. The company reported 89% growth in turnover in Q2 FY24, followed by a 1,900% surge in net profit in Q2 FY25, highlighting the strength of its operating model and execution strategy.

The newly raised funds will be deployed to expand retail presence, strengthen digital and omnichannel capabilities, broaden product categories, and invest in scalable backend infrastructure, while maintaining disciplined capital allocation and earnings quality.

Capwise Financial Services Leads the Transaction

The round was led and advised by Capwise Financial Services Private Limited, which has also participated as an investor. Explaining Capwise’s conviction, Naresh Biyani, CEO and Promoter, Capwise, said:
“We see tremendous potential in the market for kids' products in India, and Gini & Jony stands out for its relevance across generations and the brand loyalty it commands. We are excited to partner with the CEO, Harsh Agarwal, in his journey of building an integrated kids’ lifestyle brand. This investment reflects our conviction in his vision to build an end-to-end kids platform, and we look forward to working closely with the company to accelerate growth while preserving the brand’s deep connection with Indian families.”

With a renewed growth strategy and strong investor backing, Gini & Jony is poised to shape the future of kids’ retail in India—continuing a legacy where generations who grew up with the brand now introduce it to their own children.
