Source Launches Web Intelligence Ecosystem to Support Growing Demand for AI-Ready Data

The ecosystem brings together Oxylabs, Decodo, Webshare, Honeygain and ScrapingBee, with more than 800 employees and a portfolio of over 180 patents.

Source has launched as a web intelligence ecosystem bringing together companies that provide public web data access and infrastructure for enterprises, startups, artificial intelligence (AI) labs, governments and nonprofit organisations.

The launch follows a four-fold increase in demand across Source companies over the past year, driven by next-generation search, AI agents and advanced AI products. The ecosystem aims to support further research and development (R&D) and strategic expansion as demand for AI-ready data infrastructure grows.

Five Companies Form the Source Ecosystem

Source brings together Oxylabs, Decodo, Webshare, Honeygain and ScrapingBee. Originating with Oxylabs more than a decade ago, the ecosystem has expanded through product development, acquisitions and investments.

The announcement states that the group reached a valuation of $3.6 billion in a fundraise led by Warburg Pincus in 2026. The companies will continue to operate independently while benefiting from the collective ecosystem's scale and resources.

Public Web Data Supports AI, Market Intelligence and Cybersecurity

Source companies provide public web data infrastructure for a range of applications. These include supplying real-time information for search systems and AI agents, supporting market data and intelligence for trading decisions and Fortune 500 companies, and helping cybersecurity firms protect businesses and critical infrastructure.

In the public sector, governments use the companies' data services to detect illegal content and online fraud. Nonprofit organisations also use these services to monitor and expose online disinformation.

Vytautas Savickas, CEO of Source, said, "The modern world runs on data, and autonomous agents are now speeding up innovation across every sector," said Vytautas Savickas, CEO of Source. "For these systems to work, responsible access to public web data is no longer just a technical tool. It is the core infrastructure for the next wave of progress."

Global Workforce and Intellectual Property Portfolio

Source has a global team of 800 people across Europe, the United States and Asia, including more than 350 developers and engineers. The ecosystem has produced more than 180 patents and 215 trademarks.

Savickas said, “Source gives a clear identity to an ecosystem that has grown well beyond a single company story,” said Savickas. “It gives us a stronger foundation, a unified voice in defending responsible access to public web data, and a better way to support the companies across our ecosystem as we continue to grow.”
