SOKO to showcase denim finishing innovations at Kingpins Amsterdam

SOKO will participate in the upcoming Kingpins Show in Amsterdam on April 15 and 16. The company plans to present a range of textile chemistry solutions and collaborative developments focused on denim finishing. The showcase will include new technologies and design concepts aimed at improving process efficiency and material performance.
One of the solutions being introduced is Soko Shadow, developed to create a fading dye effect across various fabric types, including RFD and traditional denim. The formulation enables dye-resist and migration properties, allowing color to accumulate around seams and pockets to produce multi-tone effects. According to the company, this approach eliminates the need for discharge chemicals typically used in similar processes.
SOKO will also present a collaborative project titled “Luxury Beyond Convention” under ISKO Luxury by PG & SOKO, developed with creative direction from Paolo Gnutti. The collection incorporates SOKO technologies such as Hydrogel, Lumia, and Frost. The concept includes the reuse of indigo, which is processed into flock and reapplied to fabric surfaces to achieve varied depth and texture.
Hydrogel, another solution to be showcased, is designed as a single-compound product for denim finishing. It integrates all components required for a stone-wash effect into one application. The company states that this process can reduce production time by up to 50% and water usage by up to 85%, as the full cycle from raw garment to bleach can be completed in a single bath without intermediate steps.
FROST, an alternative to conventional acid wash processes, will also be displayed. The solution is designed to replicate the visual characteristics of acid wash without the use of pumice stones or potassium permanganate. Different application levels and concentrations will be demonstrated at the event.
In addition, SOKO collaborated on a collection designed by Adriano Goldschmied using cotton/wool fabric supplied by Pioneer Denim. The project focuses on garment finishing processes developed through the integration of textile chemistry and design.
SOKO will exhibit these developments at Kingpins Amsterdam, located in the Blue Area, Booth 45. The event will take place on April 15 and 16.
