Precision gear metering expert Slack & Parr will present its upgraded range of large-capacity gear pumps for the heavy denier, industrial, and nonwoven sectors at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore from October 28-31, located in Hall 4, Stand D305.

As a member of the British Textile Machinery Association (BTMA), Slack & Parr provides highly accurate gear metering pumps across the manmade fibre industry. Their pumps are used to process a wide range of polymers and fibres, ensuring consistency and quality in the production of acrylic, polyester, nylon, spandex, and aramid yarns and textiles.

The company, with a strong presence in the international technical textiles sector, has introduced an enhanced series of specialist IDY pumps. These pumps offer a durable solution for processing high-viscosity polymers for industrial yarns, engineered to perform reliably under high pressures and temperatures while maintaining precise flow at varying speeds.

Slack & Parr’s industrial yarn metering pumps have been further refined in collaboration with a major Japanese plant equipment manufacturer. A comprehensive review focused on pump design, material selection, and performance. Following extensive trials, Slack & Parr was approved to supply its pump technologies for both new and existing IDY machine installations worldwide.

At ITMA Asia, attendees can explore the pumps’ features and specifications for specific applications. Designs include 1- and 2-outlet options with capacities ranging from 5–50cc/rev, up to 100cc/rev for single-stream versions, as well as 4-outlet designs with 15–50cc/rev capacities. Various sealing methods and drive options are available.

Paul Wykes, Global Sales Director of Slack & Parr, said:

“We’re observing steady growth in the industrial yarn sector as manufacturers diversify into technical textiles to expand portfolios and enhance profitability while maintaining market share. Customers traditionally focused on commodity fibres like polyester and nylon are now leveraging their expertise to enter speciality fibre and industrial markets.

As a trusted partner with decades of experience, a comprehensive product range, and the ability to tailor metering technologies to specific applications, we are well-positioned to support manufacturers aiming to enter new markets.”
