Siliconops.ai Launches siliconcloud.in, a Sovereign Cloud Platform for Regulated Enterprises in India

New platform targets BFSI, healthcare, pharma, government and manufacturing sectors with in-country cloud infrastructure
Siliconops.ai has launched siliconcloud.in, a sovereign cloud platform built for India's regulated enterprises. Announced in Hyderabad on August 19, 2026, the platform is designed to provide organisations with an in-country cloud environment focused on data residency, regulatory compliance and operational continuity.
Built in partnership with Nutanix and delivered through data centres in India, the platform is intended for organisations across banking and financial services, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, government and manufacturing under the promise, "Own your data, own your cloud."
Sovereign cloud built for regulated sectors
The launch of siliconcloud.in coincides with growing adoption of cloud and artificial intelligence technologies among Indian enterprises.
According to Siliconops.ai, the platform is designed to support organisations where data residency, regulatory compliance and business continuity are critical. It provides enterprise-grade compute, backup and disaster recovery, along with managed cloud services.
The company said the platform includes a roadmap towards relevant compliance and industry certifications while helping organisations modernise their IT environments without moving sensitive data outside India or beyond Indian jurisdiction.
Focus on digital sovereignty
Speaking about the launch of Siliconcloud, Shyam Gaidhane – CEO, Siliconops said, “In the age of AI, data has become one of an enterprise’s most valuable assets. The conversation can no longer stop at where data resides; it must also address who controls it. Launching India’s sovereign cloud around the country’s 80th Independence Day is a symbolic reminder that sovereignty matters to enterprises just as it does to nations. Data in India is localisation; data under your control is sovereignty. That belief is at the heart of siliconcloud.in.”

Siliconops.ai said the platform is intended to provide organisations with greater visibility, governance and operational resilience as they adopt cloud and AI technologies.
Platform designed for compliance and resilience

Bappaditya Sarkar, Chief Technology Officer, Siliconops, said, “Building a cloud is only one part of the challenge. Running it to the standards expected by a bank, hospital or other regulated organisation is where the real complexity lies. Siliconcloud.in has been engineered with that reality in mind. With a focus on availability, scalability, security and auditability, as well as the compliance evidence that organisations will need over the long term. We are working towards MeitY empanelment, ISO and SOC compliance, along with sector-specific requirements for regulated industries.”
The company said the platform has been developed with a focus on availability, scalability, security and auditability while working towards MeitY empanelment, ISO and SOC compliance, as well as sector-specific compliance requirements.
Next phase in Siliconops.ai’s growth
Siliconops.ai said the launch represents the next stage in its business journey.
Founded 38 years ago, the company has evolved from a systems integrator into a technology partner serving enterprises across India.
According to the company, siliconcloud.in builds on this experience by extending its enterprise technology capabilities into the sovereign cloud ecosystem for regulated industries.
