Shri Anil Rajbanshi Named Vice-Chairman of MATEXIL Council

Shri Anil Rajbanshi has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Man-Made and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL). MATEXIL plays a pivotal role in promoting exports of man-made fibre-based products such as fibres, yarns, fabrics, home textiles (made-ups), and technical textiles.
Currently, Shri Rajbanshi holds the position of President at M/s. Reliance Industries Limited, a role he has served in since 2004. He began his career with the Birla Group in the mid-1970s. Over the years, he has built a strong presence in the Indian man-made fibre textile industry. His involvement in the National Committees on Textiles for both the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), along with his tenure as a member of the Textiles Committee, reflects his deep commitment and expertise in the sector.
Upon accepting the role, Shri Rajbanshi remarked, “Man-made Fibre Textiles is the future, and I look forward to contributing to the growth of this sector.”
Chairman of MATEXIL, Shri Shaleen Toshniwal, praised the appointment by stating, “Shri Anil Rajbanshi possesses in-depth knowledge of the Man-Made Fibre Textiles sector, and his vast experience will undoubtedly strengthen the functioning and initiatives of the Council."
