Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, a flagship entity of the Shiva Group of Industries, has unveiled its ambitious expansion plan with an investment of ₹650 crore to build two advanced specialty chemical manufacturing units in Gujarat and Rajasthan. This initiative not only boosts India's specialty chemical capabilities but reinforces Shivtek’s commitment to green manufacturing and sustainable innovation.

The two new plants will span over 100 acres and are expected to create over 500 direct jobs over the next three years. Once operational, they will collectively increase the company’s total manufacturing capacity from the current 1,50,000 MTPA to 6,50,000 MTPA—a more than fourfold expansion.

These upcoming units will feature state-of-the-art technology and are set to introduce the production of high-grade chlorinated compounds for the first time in India, along with caustic soda, chlorine, and high-demand derivatives like chlorinated paraffin and the proprietary ShivaSol range of lubricants.

The Gujarat facility will be strategically situated near the Hazira port, providing logistical advantages for both domestic distribution and international exports. The Rajasthan site will benefit from strong industrial infrastructure and its proximity to North India's major supply chains.

Shivtek’s solid financial health has been reaffirmed by CRISIL, which has rated the company A- for three consecutive years, reflecting its sound management, sustainable practices, and operational excellence.

Dr. Amitt Nenwani, Managing Director of Shivtek Spechemi, emphasized the strategic nature of the expansion:

“This investment marks a transformative phase in our journey. It not only supports India’s mission to become a global manufacturing hub for specialty chemicals but also allows us to lead in responsible manufacturing. Our new plants will focus on import substitution and offer eco-conscious solutions to our global customers.”

Construction is slated to begin in 2026, with commercial production targeted between 2028 and 2029. These plants will incorporate advanced, energy-efficient, and environmentally sound manufacturing processes, further enhancing India’s chemical export capacity and positioning Shivtek as a forward-thinking industry leader.
