SHIMA SEIKI to Showcase Knitting, Design and Cutting Technologies at ITM 2026
Japanese textile machinery manufacturer to present WHOLEGARMENT® machines, design software and automated cutting solutions in Istanbul
SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. of Wakayama, Japan, will exhibit at ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition alongside its Turkish representative TETAS IC VE DIS TICARET A.S. The exhibition will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, bringing together textile machinery manufacturers, technology providers, and industry professionals from around the world.
The company’s display will include computerized flat knitting machines, software solutions, and cutting technologies designed for textile and apparel manufacturing as well as non-apparel applications.
WHOLEGARMENT® Knitting Technologies
SHIMA SEIKI will highlight its WHOLEGARMENT® knitting technology, which enables complete garments to be produced in a single piece without linking or sewing.
Among the featured systems will be the MACH2®XS153 WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machine in 15L. Equipped with four needle beds and SHIMA SEIKI’s SlideNeedle™, the machine is designed for producing fine-gauge WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear using all needles.
Additional WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machines on display include:
- MACH2®VS183 8G WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machine
- MACH2®VS183 16G WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machine
- N.SVR®183 V24G WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machine
Computerized Flat Knitting Machines
The company will also present its computerized shaped knitting technologies.
The N.SVR®122 computerized flat knitting machine in 18 gauge incorporates technologies including R2CARRIAGE®, WideGauge® knitting, spring-type moveable sinkers, DSCS® Digital Stitch Control System, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter, and takedown comb.
Two additions to the N.SSR® series will be introduced in Türkiye for the first time:
- N.SSR®132 V7G Computerized flat knitting machine
- N.SSR®112 V14G Computerized flat knitting machine
Completing the knitting machinery lineup will be the SFG®20 21G automatic seamless glove knitting machine.
Design and Production Software Solutions
Live demonstrations of APEXFiz® subscription-based design software will be conducted during the exhibition. The platform supports workflow integration from yarn development and product planning to design, production, and sales promotion.
The software includes simulation capabilities that allow virtual sampling during the design evaluation process. Once designs are approved, knitting data generated through the system can be converted into machine data using SDS® KnitPaint-Online knit software.
The company will also showcase SHIMA KnitManager™ knit production management software, designed to monitor machine status and production progress.
Automated Cutting Technology
SHIMA SEIKI’s exhibition will additionally feature the P-CAM®223 multi-ply computerized cutting machine (NC cutting machine).
The system is capable of cutting materials up to 3 inches (80mm) in thickness across a cutting area of 2,200 mm x 1,700 mm, with expansion options available. The machine incorporates a knife sharpening system and components designed to support cutting operations for apparel and other industrial applications.
