Shandong Huazhe Orders Complete ANDRITZ Needlepunch Line for Filtration Materials

The new production line, scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027, will expand capacity for PTFE fibre-based filtration materials in Jinan, China.
Shandong Huazhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has placed an order with international technology group ANDRITZ for a high-speed needlepunch line to manufacture advanced filtration materials. The line will be installed at Shandong Huazhe’s headquarters in Jinan, Shandong Province, China.
The order follows the companies’ earlier cooperation, which began in 2023 with a contract for an ANDRITZ batt forming line. That equipment was successfully delivered in 2024.
Production Line to Expand PTFE Filtration Capacity
The value of the new order has not been disclosed. ANDRITZ has included it in its order intake for the third quarter of 2026, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
The line is intended to expand Shandong Huazhe’s production capacity for high-performance filtration materials made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibre, serving demand in this market segment.
Designed for high-speed and stable operation, the line will also support gentle fibre processing to maintain consistent product quality.
First Commercial Application of ANDRITZ A-Type Needleloom
The project will feature the first commercial application of ANDRITZ’s A-Type needleloom, a new addition to the company’s global needleloom portfolio. The technology combines cost-efficient operation, production flexibility and high product quality.
Its random needle pattern capability is designed to improve material uniformity and performance, both of which are important requirements in advanced filtration applications.
The project will also mark the first PTFE filtration material production line supplied by ANDRITZ.
Shandong Huazhe Highlights Equipment Requirements
Mr. Han Fuhe, Chief Executive Officer of Shandong Huazhe, states: “The production of advanced filtration materials requires reliable equipment and gentle fiber processing. Based on our positive experience with ANDRITZ, we are confident that the new needlepunch line will provide the quality, efficiency, and process stability we need for our future growth.”
